Enemy shells Zaporizhzhia region 130 times in past day, dozens of houses destroyed

The Russian army shelled Zaporizhzhia region 130 times over the past day, destroying dozens of houses.

Oleksandr Starukh, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The Russian occupiers intensified actions aimed at terrorizing civilians. Over the past 24 hours, the number of attacks on our free lands has increased to 130. We received a report about the destruction of 64 residential buildings and civil infrastructure facilities. In particular, at night the enemy carried out artillery shelling of the Bilenke community. As a result of 120mm projectiles hitting the private residential sector, three houses, outbuildings and cars were damaged," he said.

Starukh emphasized that civilians were not injured as a result of Russian shelling.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy earlier shelled more than 15 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia direction. In particular, Vremivka, Novopil in Donetsk region and Poltavka, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Stepove, Kamianske and Plavni in Zaporizhzhia region.
