The Russian invaders continue to hold hostage the population of the temporarily occupied areas of Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions. The way out to Zaporizhzhia is blocked.

"Exactly one month ago, the occupiers banned the residents of four regions from leaving for Zaporizhzhia through Vasylivka. During this period, only four people out of hundreds of thousands of residents of occupied settlements managed to reach Zaporizhzhia by foot. However, over the past week, the orcs did not let a single person out," Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov posted on Telegram.

He noted that there are two more evacuation routes towards Georgia, Latvia, Estonia, and other European countries: the first is through Berdiansk–Mariupol–Novoazovsk and the second is through Crimea.

According to the mayor, the invaders intensify filtration measures at the checkpoints. According to available information, at the entrance to Crimea, not only fingerprints are collected from all passengers, but also DNA samples. On the border between Russia and the EU countries, the Russians threaten to stop letting men out, and sometimes make people go back to the occupied areas for no reason.
