Missile attack on Kyiv: Number of those injured grows to 16

Russia's December 31 missile attack on Kyiv has left one person dead and 16 people injured.

According to Ukrinform, the Kyiv City Military Administration said this in a post on Telegram.

"Missile attack on the capital. The information about casualties has been clarified. It has been confirmed that one person was killed and 16 injured. They are receiving medical assistance," the report reads.

It also reported that seven air targets had been destroyed near Kyiv.

Fragments of destroyed missiles damaged a building and a car in the Holosiivskyi district, a private residential building and Adler Hotel in the Solomianskyi district, as well as Alfavito Hotel and nearby buildings in the Pecherskyi district.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on Telegram that two schools and kindergartens in the Solomianskyi district and another school in the Pecherskyi had been partially destroyed as a result of the missile attack.
