Russians launch 139 strikes on Sumy region

The Russian troops have launched 139 strikes on Sumy region during the current day, December 30.

Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.  

"The enemy launched 139 strikes on the border areas during the day," Zhyvytskyi said.

In particular, the Russians shelled the Myropillia community three times with mortars and artillery. There were 18 explosions in total.

A school, a kindergarten, a club and a boiler house were damaged as a result of the shelling.

“The enemy fired mortars at the Bilopillia community, 10 expositions. The explosions damaged the property of a psycho-neurological boarding school: a workshop, a harvester, and other agricultural equipment," Zhyvytskyi said.

He also reported that the enemy used artillery, Grads MLRS and mortars to shell the Krasnopillia community. There were 78 explosions in total.

In addition, the Russians dropped explosives from the drone.

"The Esman community: the enemy shelled the border areas with small arms, there were 20 machine gun bursts. The Russians opened mortar fire at the Shalyhyne community, 12 explosions," Zhyvytskyi said.

As reported by Ukrinform, as a result of Russian aggression, four civilians were killed and eight more were injured in Ukraine on December 29.
