Enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group fails to break through state border in Sumy region

Ukraine’s Territorial Defense Forces have eliminated a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group, attempting to break through the state border in the Sumy region.

The relevant statement was made by Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Dmytro Zhyvytskyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Zhyvytskyi, Russia’s sabotage and reconnaissance group crossed the state border of Ukraine in the morning of December 22, 2022. The incident took place in the Sumy region’s Krasnopillia community, near the village of Vysoke.

“Our territorial defense forces entered into combat with Russia’s sabotage and reconnaissance group. Following a short battle, the enemy lost at least two in killed. There were no losses on our side,” Zhyvytskyi noted.

A reminder that, on December 22, 2022, Russian troops struck the Sumy region’s border areas 54 times.
