By striking Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, Russia wants to provoke new refugees flee to Europe.

Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the President’s Office head, wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“By striking Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, Kremlin wants to provoke new refugees flee to Europe. Whether Putin will be able to implement his plan depends on European capitals’ leaders,” he wrote.

Podolyak stressed that the only way to stop humanitarian catastrophe – “transfer air defense and additional missiles fast”.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the morning of October 22, Russian forces launched a massive missile attack on critical infrastructure facilities across Ukraine.

According to data provided by the President’s Office, almost 1.5 million consumers across Ukraine were left without electricity after Russia’s attacks.

President Volodymyr Zelensky in a Telegram post said that Russian invaders launched 36 missiles across Ukraine in the first half of October 22. Most of the missiles were shot down by the Ukrainian air defense.
