War update: Russians pursue attempts to seize all of Donetsk region

Russian aggressors continue to focus their efforts on establishing full control over the territory of Donetsk region, holding ground in the captured districts of Kherson, part of the Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and Mykolaiv regions, and restoring the combat capability of their units that have suffered losses.

That’s according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy is trying to resume the offensive toward the village of Barvinkove. Shelling was recorded near Chepil, Brazhkivka, Bohorodychne, and Kostiantynivka. Airstrikes were reported near Brazhkivka and Zalyman. The enemy led an offensive battle in the direction of Karnaukhivka, with no success, being forced to retreat, and flew aerial reconnaissance missions in the area of ​​Nova Dmytrivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy fired barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of Tetyanivka, Ivano-Daryivka, Zvanivka, and Hryhorivka, as well as carried out airstrikes near Spirne and Siversk.

Aerial reconnaissance missions were launched near Tetianivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy inflicted fire damage, employing tanks, barrel artillery, and MLR systems in the areas of Tykhonivka, Vasyukivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, and Shumy. Aviation struck the areas near Yakovlivka and Kodema.

The occupiers tried to conduct assaults in the direction of Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, and Kodema, none of which were successful.

In the Avdiyivka direction, the enemy shelled the districts of Aleksandropil, New York, Novobakhmutivka, Netaylovy, Halytsynivka, Nevelsky, Opytny, and Maryinka. Airstrikes were reported near Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, and Maryinka.

The invaders tried to improve their tactical position in the direction of Nevelske before being repulsed and forced to retreat.

The situation has undergone no significant changes in the Volyn, Polissia, and Siversky directions. The enemy employed barrel artillery to shell civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of Seredyna-Buda, Shevchenkove, Katerynivka, and Vilne, Sumy region.

In the Kharkiv direction, the occupiers continue to conduct hostilities in order to hold the occupied ground. Enemy tanks, barrel and jet artillery were active near Varvarivka, Udyv, Slatyny, Petrivka, Borschova, Velikie Prokhody, Pischany, Rusky Tyshky, Shestakovo, Slobozhansky, Andriivka, and Husarivka. The enemy also carried out airstrikes near Mospanova, Pervomaiske, and Bayrak, as well as conducted aerial reconnaissance in the areas of Pytomnyk, Cherkaska Lozova, and Shestakove.

Artillery shelling was recorded near Zolota Niva, Prechistivka, Pavlivka, and Volodymyrivka in the Novopavlovsk direction. The districts of Volodymyrivka and Novomykhailivka were hit by enemy aircraft.

In the Zaporizhia direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Velykomykhailivka, Novosilka, Vremivka, Malynyvka, Dorozhnianka, Poltavka, Orihiv, and Mala Tokmachka, and carried out airstrikes near Olhivskyi and Hulyaipole.

In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy continued shelling the areas of Mykolaiv, Kryvyi Rih, Lupareve, Prybuzke, Posad-Pokrovske, Novogrigorivka, Partizanske, Chervona Dolyna, Velike Artakove, Kvitneve, Ivanivka, Potemkine, Trudolyubivka, Blagodatne, Tavriyske, Pervomaiske, Shiroke, and Polyana. Air strikes were launched to destroy critical infrastructure facilities in the areas of Oleksandrivka, Lozove, and Olhyne.

Ukrainian jet and artillery units continue their successful fire missions on the designated targets, also inflicting casualties on the occupiers in close combat.
