Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has emphasized the importance of not losing support from different countries for Ukraine despite Russia’s information attacks.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a joint press conference with United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We must not lose the support of the societies of different states in any way, and it is very important. It will be difficult, and Russia’s information attacks on certain states, on certain societies, are difficult,” Zelensky told.

In his words, most EU member states support Ukraine at a high moral level.

“So, you cannot lose it, you cannot relax, you cannot freeze the conflict, you cannot say ‘let’s wait a year, or two, or three, and start talking', as it will all be our weakness,” Zelensky noted.

According to the President of Ukraine, the information initiative cannot be given up of the energy risks, heating season, nuclear blackmail, blockade of the Black Sea, threat of famine and such for many countries.

“Because of this you can lose the initiative. Ukraine has no right to lose the initiative and must not allow Europe to lose the initiative. Today the whole world has gnawed out the initiative from the Russian Federation, and our victory in this war is a great unity,” Zelensky stressed.

According to him, the strength of the position in the world depends primarily on the strength of Ukraine.

“I believe the strength within our state at the very beginning of the invasion showed the world what it is like to be united. We are all united, and it seems to me that this signal is the most important, and it cannot be lost, and no one outside or inside can be allowed to do this. People see this signal: they see it on the battlefield; they see what a strong country united with the army and society is. Everyone is fighting,” Zelensky said.

A reminder that United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrived in Kyiv on Ukraine’s Independence Day, August 24, 2022.
