AFU eliminate 73 Russians, three tanks, ammo depot in south

On August 18, the Ukrainian defenders eliminated 73 Russians and their equipment, and also hit an ammunition depot at the southern front. The units also went on offensive twice over the past day.

“Ukrainian aviation launched four strikes on clusters of manpower, weapons, and equipment of the Russian occupying forces in Bashtanka district of Mykolaiv region and Beryslav district of Kherson region,” the Operational Command "South" reports.

In addition, the missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine performed more than 200 fire missions. The command says that the Ukrainian military thwarted the occupiers’ plans to repair and continue to use the Kakhovka Bridge.

Earlier, explosions in Nova Kakhovka were reported on social networks.

The Operational Command "South" confirmed that the occupying forces had lost 73 soldiers, three tanks, four launchers and one radar station for S-300 missile system, five armored vehicles and common vehicles, one ammunition depot over the past day.

The final losses of the Russians are still being specified. Two missile carriers equipped with 16 Kalibr missiles and two large landing ships stay in the Black Sea.
