Epic Games raises $144M from Fortnite to help Ukrainians

VP Epic Games sent all proceeds from Fortnite game, received from March 20 to April 3, for the humanitarian support of Ukraine.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“VP Epic Games sent all proceeds from the game Fortnite, received from March 20 to April 3, to the humanitarian support of Ukrainians. Thank you! We managed to raise $144 million,” Fedorov wrote.

He noted that the funds were distributed among the following organizations: Direct Relief, UNICEF, the UN World Food Program, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees  and the World Central Kitchen.

As Ukrinform reported, as of April 5, 2022, there was almost UAH 136 million on the special fundraising account opened by the National Bank to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
