The Russian troops are facing ongoing logistical shortages, in particular, due to the resistance by the Ukrainians.

The British Ministry of Defense wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“Ongoing logistical shortages have been compounded by a continued lack of momentum and morale amongst the Russian military, and aggressive fighting by the Ukrainians,” the report says.

The British Ministry of Defense also added that heavy fighting continues in the vicinity of Mariupol, as Russia is trying to capture the local port.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
