2 killed, 20 buildings destroyed in Russian attack on Luhansk region at night

On the night of March 18 in Luhansk region, Russian artillery and MLRS fired on Severodonetsk and Rubizhne, damaging 20 buildings and killing two people.

"More than 20 houses and infrastructure facilities were destroyed by Russians in Severodonetsk and Rubizhne overnight. Artillery and MLRS of the Russian army targeted civilians in Severodonetsk and Rubizhne during the evening and night of March 17-18," the press service of Luhansk Regional Military Administration posted on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

In the evening, the enemy fired Grad systems on the old districts of Severodonetsk, as a result of which six infrastructure facilities, two houses and garages were damaged or destroyed. Some houses were cut off from gas and water supply. Two killed and four injured are currently known.

Ten houses and a shop caught on fire in Rubizhne overnight. Two people were injured, the administration informs.

"In a few weeks, the Russians have turned these two cozy towns, crowded with students, almost into ruins. These villains open fire on houses and critical infrastructure facilities. They are doing everything to ensure that the locals do not have housing and utilities," said Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai.

At 05:00, the Russians reopened fire on Severodonetsk, Kreminna, and Pryvillia. The number of victims and destruction is being clarified.
