Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accepted the invitation from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to address the Canadian Parliament.

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, Trudeau wrote about this on Twitter.

"I invited President Zelensky to address Canada’s Parliament. Canadians have been inspired by the bravery and resiliency of Ukrainians and the leadership the President has shown, and I know they are eager to hear directly from him," he said.

Earlier, Trudeau in a phone call with Zelensky promised to send specialized military equipment, including drone cameras, to Ukraine.

On February 24, Russian President Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure, with missiles hitting Ukrainians' homes. Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
