Since Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine, 58 civilians were killed and 288 were wounded in Donetsk region (as of 20:00 on March 8), excluding data about killed and wounded Mariupol residents.

Head of the Donetsk Regional and Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko wrote on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Russia kills civilians!... Apart from Mariupol, which is under siege, and Volnovakha, which is being shelled by Russians, today [March 8] there was a battle near Marinka. The enemy also fired on Novoluhanske, Popasne and Krasnohorivka. In Novoluhanske - one person was injured, a house and a gas pipeline were damaged, in Popasne - a person was injured, in Krasnohorivka - people are safe, but there is damage,” the head of the region wrote.

He reminded that on March 8 it became known about two victims in Mariupol, where a 6-year-old girl died of dehydration - she was found next to her mother, who was killed by a Russian shell.

Kyrylenko also reminded that the Russians disrupted the evacuation from Mariupol for the third time. Moreover, this time they launched an attack on the planned route of the evacuation column.
