The Republic of Belarus has brought its troops into combat readiness and concentrated them as close to the state border with Ukraine as possible.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry on its Facebook page as of 00:00 (midnight), March 1, 2022, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The Republic of Belarus, as a satellite of the Russian Federation, is providing assistance in the deployment of troops within its territory and providing weapons to the enemy. In future, it is likely to support Russian invaders in the Russian-Ukrainian war and help the occupiers to achieve their goals. In particular, since February 24, 2022, missile strikes have been consistently launched on military and civil facilities from the territory of Belarus. Currently, Belarusian troops have been brought into combat readiness and concentrated as close to the state border of Ukraine as possible,” the ministry noted.

According to the intelligence data, over the past day, a significant aviation activity has been recorded within the territory of the Republic of Belarus. In addition, the columns of vehicles loaded with food and ammunitions were detected near such settlements as Baranovychi, Liakhovychi and Pinsk.

According to the available data, Russian invaders are planning to launch a massive information and psychology operation to break the resistance of the Ukrainian people and army. Using such tactics as disinformation and the intimidation of civilians, the enemy will attempt to sow panic and chaos.

Having failed to achieve the objectives set due to a significant resistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and patriotic civilians, the enemy started to destroy the information infrastructure and critically important state-owned facilities. Advancing through the territory of Ukraine, Russian invaders are destroying cellular towers. On March 1, 2022, Russia’s missile strike hit the Kyiv TV Tower.

In the meantime, the enemy continues to cynically disregard the norms of international humanitarian law amid hostilities, the ministry stressed.
