Russian invasion update: Kharkiv University’s building damaged due to shelling

The educational building of Physics and Technology Department, which is situated on 31 Kurchatova Street in Kharkiv, was damaged due to attacks and shelling.

The relevant statement was made by Liliia Zmii, Spokesperson at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The frontal side of the building was damaged, some classrooms were on fire. Fortunately, lecturers, students and employees were staying at home, as the educational process was suspended. Hence, there were no casualties,” Zmii told.

In her words, the building, undoubtedly, will be renovated.

“We are calling on the Karazin community to stay alert, not to leave home unless absolutely necessary, keep calm and trust in our victory,” Zmii noted.
