Ukraine, Germany draw 3-3 in friendly

Germany and Ukraine have played a friendly match that became the 1,000th game for the German team.

The meeting at the Weserstadion arena in Bremen ended in a 3-3 draw, Ukrinform reports.

Niclas Fullkrug put the hosts ahead in the 6th minute, but Viktor Tsygankov equalized in the 19th minute. An own goal by German defender Antonio Rudiger (23) put the visitors in the lead, and in the second half, Tsygankov (56) scored a double.

Midfielder Kai Havertz made it 2-3 in the 83rd minute and Joshua Kimmich converted the penalty in the 93rd minute.

Ukraine will play Euro 2024 qualifiers against North Macedonia on June 16 and Malta on June 19.
