Mahuchikh wins silver in 2026 Diamond League final
The final of the prestigious “Diamond League” track and field series for the 2026 season took place in Brussels, Belgium.
The second day of the tournament brought the Ukrainian national team its second medal, according to Ukrinform.
Ukrainian world record holder Yaroslava Mahuchikh took second place on the podium in the high jump, winning the “silver” with a jump of 1.99 meters.
The gold medal went to Australia’s Eleanor Patterson (2.01), while the bronze went to another Australian, Nicola Olislagers (1.95 meters).
Iryna Herashchenko (1.88 meters) finished the competition in fifth place
As previously reported, Oleh Doroshchuk won the bronze medal in the high jump final at the 2026 Diamond League.
As a reminder, Ukraine has received five licenses for the World Athletics Championships.
