Young developer of Quadcopter Mines Detector from Ukraine recognized as world’s best student

Ukraine’s Ihor Klymenko became the world’s best student this year, according to the prestigious Chegg.org 2022 Global Student Prize.

This is stated in the press release of the contest organizers, according to Ukrinform,

Ihor Klymenko, a student from Ukraine, who is passionate about raising awareness and solving the global problem of landmines, has developed a Quadcopter Mines Detector. Ihor was announced as the winner of the Chegg.org 2022 Global Student Prize 2022, the organizers said.

He also received $100,000 for making a real impact on learning, the lives of his peers, and society at large.

It is noted that Igor himself is currently studying at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

As reported by Ukrinform, the International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) announced Ukraine’s Maryna Vyazovska as the laureate of the most prestigious mathematical award, the 2022 Fields Medal.
