The head of state announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, we have achieved a significant result – two thousand Ukrainian children have been brought home from under Russia's control through the Bring Kids Back UA initiative. We are grateful to everyone who has contributed to this fight for the future of our children, our country, and the entire free world," Zelensky said.

He noted that the road ahead remains long and difficult.

"Thousands of Ukrainian children are still held captive by Russia, becoming victims of its crimes every day. But we will not stop until every Ukrainian child is back home," Zelensky said.

On February 13, five Ukrainian children were returned from temporarily occupied territories and from Russia under President Zelensky's Bring Kids Back UA initiative.

According to preliminary data, more than 19,000 Ukrainian children have been illegally deported or forcibly transferred by Russia.
