Zelensky greets Muslims on beginning of Ramadan

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has congratulated Muslims on the beginning of Ramadan.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky wrote this on his Twitter account.

"Ukrainians differ in their religious beliefs, but are united in their desire to become better. Ukraine is a home and homeland for the Muslim community, including Crimean Tatars. At the beginning of Ramadan, I wish faith strengthening and prosperity in our common land," Zelensky said.

Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims during which fasting should be observed. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It lasts 30 days.
