2,800 people remain in Kostiantynivka community
There are still 2,800 civilians in the Kostiantynivka community in Donetsk Oblast. Mass evacuations are impossible due to security concerns, and only isolated evacuations are being carried out.
This was announced at an online briefing by Dmytro Petlin, head of the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization, and Defense of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
"In Kostiantynivka, the number of people remaining has not changed much. There are 2,800 people in the community, and 2,700 in the city itself. There are isolated cases of evacuation, because people are being taken out on foot, if possible... They leave on bicycles, and sometimes they are helped. An elderly woman was taken away on a wheelbarrow. But, of course, there is no mass evacuation there," Petlin said.
As reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, the Russians carried out 18 offensive actions near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopilia, Illinivka, Berestka, and Sofiivka in the Kostiantynivka direction. Three battles are ongoing.
As reported by Ukrinform, about 20,000 civilians remain in the zone of active hostilities in Donetsk region.
