Zelensky, Costa agree to meet to discuss cooperation in Drone Deal format
President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the unblocking of €90 billion in aid and cooperation in the Drone Deal format with the President of the European Council António Costa.
Zelensky stated this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"Ukraine has delivered on what was requested by the European Union," Zelensky emphasized.
According to him, Costa also noted Ukraine's security agreements with countries in the Middle East and the Gulf region.
"The Ukrainian system for protecting lives, which we are offering to partners in the Drone Deal format, is truly unique. We have already begun this cooperation with several European countries as well," Zelensky stressed.
The President of Ukraine and the President of the European Council agreed to continue discussing this topic during a personal meeting in the near future.
"It is important that Europe remains united and protected," Zelensky said.
As reported, Zelensky previously stated that Ukraine had completed repair works on a section of the "Druzhba" oil pipeline damaged by a Russian strike, and it could resume operation, linking this to the unblocking of a European support package already approved by the European Council.
