Zelensky, Merz discuss current priorities in bilateral and international cooperation
President Volodymyr Zelensky and German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz have identified current priorities for cooperation both at the bilateral level and within multilateral formats with partners.
According to Ukrinform, Zelensky said this in a post on Facebook.
“I thanked him for such a strong support for Ukraine and for our recent agreements. We identified current priorities for work both at the bilateral level and in a multilateral format with partners. We are preparing for meetings and negotiations this week,” Zelensky noted.
The parties also discussed several issues on the international agenda, as well as the steps needed to advance Ukraine toward membership in the European Union.
“Thank you, Friedrich, for your support and readiness to help in every way!” Zelensky emphasized.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Zelensky also discussed with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen the unblocking of a €90 billion support package for Ukraine.
