Some teams arrive in Abu Dhabi for negotiations, OP says
Some of the teams that will participate in the two-day talks have already arrived in Abu Dhabi, and certain discussions may have already begun.
This was reported to journalists by the President's communications advisor, Dmytro Lytvyn, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“Some of the teams are already there, so some of the issues can already be discussed. These are talks involving informal people, so they cannot be assessed in the traditional way as a normal political meeting, which takes place within a clear framework,” Lytvyn explained.
He stressed that Abu Dhabi will not host “a meeting of career diplomats, about whom everything can always be said formally and clearly; there are various representatives there.”
In this context, Lytvyn stressed that he can neither confirm nor deny the information voiced by foreign media about the start of negotiations.
As reported, teams from Ukraine, the US, and Russia will meet today and tomorrow in the United Arab Emirates.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Donbas issue will be among the key topics at these talks.
The head of state also approved today the composition of the Ukrainian delegation, headed by NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov.
