Ukrainian, American delegations discuss economic development, security guarantees in Miami – Umerov
In Miami, Ukrainian and American delegations held substantive discussions on economic development and the Prosperity Plan, as well as security guarantees for Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, the Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, stated this on Telegram.
"Over the course of two days, together with Kyrylo Budanov and David Arakhamia, we worked in the United States. On the American side, the consultations included Special Envoy for Peace Missions Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, U.S. Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll, and White House staff member Josh Gruenbaum," Umerov noted.
According to him, the parties held substantive discussions on economic development and the Prosperity Plan, as well as "security guarantees for Ukraine, with a focus on practical mechanisms for their implementation and enforcement."
"We informed our American partners about recent attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure by Russia," Umerov emphasized. The sides agreed to continue working at the team level during the next stage of consultations in Davos.
As previously reported, on January 17 in Miami, Florida, talks took place involving NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov, Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Budanov, and Head of the parliamentary faction Servant of the People David Arakhamia.
