Ukraine, China hold political consultations

On December 18 in Beijing, Ukrainian First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya held Ukrainian-Chinese political consultations with Liu Bin, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China (with the rank of deputy minister).

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said this in a statement seen by Ukrinform.

"The sides discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, outlined plans for further contacts at the highest and high levels, considered ways to strengthen trade and economic cooperation, and addressed issues of interaction within international organizations," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry added that the parties also held an in-depth exchange of views on the current situation related to Russia's ongoing armed aggression against Ukraine, as well as on international efforts aimed at achieving a sustainable and lasting peace.
