UN’s Guterres arrives in Kyiv

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres is on an official visit to Kyiv.

According to Tagesschau, Guterres arrived in Kyiv on the night of March 8, Ukrinform reports.

"UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres arrived in Ukraine on a visit. Press secretary Stéphane Dujarric said that he arrived in Kyiv overnight (Wednesday – ed.)," the publication says.

The report was later confirmed by the UN press service.

"Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is in Kyiv. Later today, he will meet President Zelensky in Kyiv to discuss the continuation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative in all its aspects, as well as other pertinent issues," the tweet reads.

This is the UN chief’s third visit to Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on March 8 will meet in Kyiv with President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine to discuss the continuation of the "Grain Agreement".
