Switzerland expands sanctions against Russia over occupation of Crimea

The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland (SECO) imposed sanctions on eight more people over actions that undermine the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

As the agency's website informs, the sanctions were imposed on "judges" of the Kyivsky District Court of Simferopol Mykhail Belousov, Andrey Dolgopolov, "prosecutor" of the Southern Military District Yevgeniy Kolpikov, "investigator" Magomed Magomedov, "chief" of the FSB of Russia in Crimea and Sevastopol Leonid Mykhailiuk, "judge" of the Tsentralny District Court of Simferopol Viktor Mozhelyansky, "judge" of the Supreme Court of Crimea Galina Redko, and "chief" of Russia's Investigative Committee Department in Crimea and Sevastopol Vladimir Terentyev.

As noted, they have participated in political persecution on the peninsula and actively support the actions and implementation of policies that undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine.

As reported, on October 11, the Council of the European Union decided to impose sanctions on additional 8 individuals over actions that undermine the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
