G7 ambassadors, Swiss diplomats discuss preparations for Ukraine Reform Conference 2022

The ambassadors of the G7 countries exchanged views on plans for Ukraine Reform Conference 2022 with Simon Pidoux, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine, and representatives of the embassy.

This was said in a statement posted on Twitter account of the UK Presidency of the G7 Ambassadors’ Support Group in Ukraine.

"Ambassadors welcomed Switzerland's intention for an inclusive approach, including civil society and business participation. Ambassadors welcomed the focus on two key pillars: how progress on reforms, including on judiciary and rule of law, can support peace and stability; and Ukrainian prosperity," the statement reads.

The diplomats expressed hope for productive discussions and tangible results in preparation for the Lugano URC in 2022.

As reported, the 5th Ukraine Reform Conference will be held in the Swiss city of Lugano on July 4-5, 2022 with the participation of representatives of the Ukrainian authorities at all levels.

The 4th Ukraine Reform Conference was held at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius (Lithuania) on July 7-8, 2021.
