Ukraine harvests over 16.5M t of new grain crop

As of August 4, 2023, Ukraine harvested 16.574 million tonnes of grains and pulses on 3.782 million hectares with a yield of 44 centners/ha.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported this.

Farmers have already threshed 12.513 million tonnes of wheat from 2.698 million hectares (yield, 46.4 c/ha), 3.755 million tonnes of barley from 939,000 hectares (yield, 40 c/ha), and 306,400 tonnes of peas from 125,300 hectares (yield, 24.5 c/ha).

Mykolaiv region's agricultural producers remain the leaders in grain harvesting, having threshed 82% of the area. The largest harvest in Odesa region is over 2 million tonnes.

Farmers in 9 regions have finished harvesting peas. Farmers in Dnipro region have started harvesting buckwheat.

Winter rapeseed harvesting continues, with 3.319 million tonnes of seeds harvested on 1.182 million hectares, yielding 28.1 c/ha.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukrainian Grain Association predicted that in 2023 Ukraine would harvest 76.8 million tonnes of grains and oilseeds.
