Ukraine exports over 44.7M t of grains, pulses

In the current marketing year (MY) (from July 1, 2022, to May 26, 2023), Ukraine exported 44.796 million tonnes of grains and pulses.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported this.

It is noted that in 2022/2023 MY Ukraine exported 15.341 million tonnes of wheat, 2.625 million tonnes of barley, 17,900 tonnes of rye, and 26.499 million tonnes of corn.

For comparison, from July 2021 to May 27, 2022, Ukraine exported 46.784 million tonnes of grains and pulses, including 18.559 million tonnes of wheat, 5.676 million tonnes of barley, 161,900 tonnes of rye, and 22.082 million tonnes of corn.

In 26 days of May this year, Ukraine exported 2.91 million tonnes of grains and pulses (915,000 tonnes in 27 days of May last year), including 943,000 tonnes of wheat (33,000 tonnes in May last year), 160,000 tonnes of barley (8,000 tonnes in May 2022), and 1.801 million tonnes of corn (871,000 tonnes in May 2022). In May this year and in May last year, Ukraine did not export rye.

Since the start of 2022/2023 MY, Ukraine has exported 139,800 tonnes of flour (70,800 tonnes in 2021/2022 MY).

As Ukrinform reported, according to Ukrainian Agrarian Council, by the end of the current season, Ukraine will have 10 million tonnes of carry-over grain from previous seasons for export.
