Zelensky: Netherlands to support decentralization of Ukraine’s energy system
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a draft document had already been prepared on the Netherlands’ support for the decentralization of Ukraine’s energy system.
The Ukrainian President made the statement during a briefing in Middelburg amid his visit to the Netherlands, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We value your support for our energy sector. We have agreed to work together on the further protection and development of Ukraine’s energy system, in particular decentralized energy. There is an initial draft of a joint document for our actions. Thank you for this level of relations, and we hope we will be able to further expand this cooperation,” Zelensky said.
He also added that the Netherlands has always been among the strongest defenders of life through its support for Ukraine.
“You have provided serious assistance to us with air defense and other needs – from combat aviation to critically important political and financial support. We especially value the Netherlands’ consistent annual assistance to our country and its resilience,” the President noted.
As reported earlier, today, President Volodymyr Zelensky is on a visit to the Netherlands, where he has already held meetings with King Willem-Alexander and Prime Minister Rob Jetten, and received the International Four Freedoms Award, whose laureates this year include President Zelensky and the people of Ukraine.
