AUABI 2020 Ukrainian-Arab International Expo will be held for the first time in Ukraine this year.

"I would like to announce the economic forum and the Ukrainian-Arab International Expo which will be held in 2020. This exhibition AUABI 2020 will be held in Ukraine for the first time," Mohammad Saleem Alotti, the President of the Association of Ukrainian-Arab Businessmen and Investors (AUABI), said during a press conference at the Ukrinform news agency.

He noted that the economic cooperation between Ukraine and the Arab countries would be examined and the Arab markets' needs for imported goods in view of current environmental changes would be assessed during the conference events.

"We decided to organize this exhibition after we had assessed and considered all the issues and evaluated the economic cooperation between Ukraine and the Arab world. This will provide greater opportunities and development of economic relations between Ukraine and the Arab world, starting with East Africa, Asian countries and the Middle East. The main task of the exhibition and the conference is to find out what goods the Arab countries need, especially in view of the current environmental changes," Alotti said.

As noted, the business of Arab countries is interested in making investments in the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex. This could be halal food production, in particular, chicken, lamb, beef, eggs.

The UAE, Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon and Turkey were mentioned as Arab countries which consider agriculture cooperation with Ukraine.

The AUABI 2020 Ukrainian-Arab International Expo will be held in Kyiv on June 11-13, 2020.
