Explosion at police station in Dnipro classified as terrorist act
An explosion at a police station in Dnipro has been classified as a terrorist act.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
At around 20:50 on February 23, an improvised explosive device detonated at one of the police departments in Dnipro. No injuries were reported.
The blast wave damaged the administrative building, shattered windows, and damaged a vehicle parked nearby.
Under the procedural supervision of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine launched a pre-trial investigation into the terrorist act under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Prosecutors and investigators are working to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, an explosion at a gas station in Mykolaiv injured seven police officers, two of whom were in serious condition. That explosion was also classified as a terrorist act.
