Russian attack on Trostianets leaves four people injured
Four people were injured in a Russian attack on the town of Trostianets in the Sumy region.
According to Ukrinform, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, reported this on Telegram.
It is noted that the injured individuals received the necessary medical assistance.
Hryhorov emphasized that the enemy has been systematically targeting fuel infrastructure facilities in the region in an attempt to disrupt logistics and fuel supplies for local communities.
"Together with the head of the community and the owners of gas stations, we are working on deploying mobile fuel stations to provide backup fuel supplies for residents, emergency services, municipal utilities, and other critically important services," Hryhorov said.
According to him, the facilities had been equipped with specific anti-drone and engineering protection measures. However, during the night, the enemy carried out a massive, targeted strike that caused significant damage.
"Taking into account the consequences of the attack, we are working jointly with businesses on additional measures to strengthen the protection of such facilities," the official added.
As previously reported, Russian forces attacked Trostianets in the Sumy region with 23 drones during the night of June 17. During the attack, Russian troops destroyed a gas station in the city.
