Ukrainian Defense Forces destroy Russian troop concentration point in Pokrovsk
The Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out an airstrike on a personnel gathering point of a unit of Russia’s 2nd Combined Arms Army, which was stationed in a panel apartment building in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
This was stated by the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
It was established that as a result of the strike, about ten Russian soldiers were eliminated. Part of the enemy personnel was reportedly trapped under the rubble of concrete structures.
The Air Assault Forces stated that the strike location was confirmed by objective monitoring.
According to the paratroopers, the Russian army is concentrating personnel in Pokrovsk in an attempt to advance in the sector of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces.
For troop concentration, the enemy is using multi-storey buildings, as concrete structures, basements, and internal communications allow them to covertly deploy personnel, conceal communications equipment, and set up drone launch points to strike Ukrainian forces.
After detailed analysis of intelligence data, the defenders identify priority enemy concentration sites and strike them.
As Ukrinform reported, over the past day Ukrainian forces stopped 36 Russian assault attempts in the Pokrovsk direction in areas including Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Rodynske, Novomykolaivka, and Filiia, and toward Vasylivka, Bilytske, Dorozhne, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, and Novopavlivka.
