Russian drone hits apartment building in Sumy, woman injured
Russian forces attacked a multi-story residential building in Sumy with drones during the day on April 10.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by acting Mayor of Sumy Artem Kobzar.
He said that a UAV strike on a residential building in the Kovpakivskyi district of Sumy had been recorded.
Information about casualties is being clarified. As of now, it is known that one woman sought medical assistance due to an acute stress reaction, and doctors are providing her with the necessary care.
According to Serhii Kryvosheienko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration, one 88-year-old woman was injured as a result of the drone strike on the residential building.
An emergency medical team provided assistance at the scene.
Emergency response efforts to deal with the aftermath of the strike are ongoing.
City services and public organizations have been engaged.
According to the Mayor, two nearby schools are ready to accommodate residents for temporary shelter.
As reported by Ukrinform, over the course of one day – from the morning of April 8 to the morning of April 9 – Russian forces carried out more than 100 strikes on 36 settlements across 18 territorial communities in the Sumy region, injuring one woman.
