Russians attack rescuers who extinguished fire caused by previous strike in Kharkiv region

In the settlement of Velykyi Burluk in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region, Russian forces attacked State Emergency Service rescuers while they were putting out a fire in a non-residential building that had been hit by a Russian drone.

According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service reported this on Facebook.

"Russians attacked rescuers while they were extinguishing a fire in a non-residential building covering an area of 100 square meters, which broke out due to an enemy drone attack in the settlement of Velykyi Burluk in the Kharkiv region," the statement said.

The emergency workers managed to take shelter in time, and there were no casualties.

Alongside the firefighters, medics from the State Emergency Service and a community rescue officer were working at the scene under the threat of repeated strikes.

As previously reported, in Sumy, Russian forces struck rescuers on the night of March 22 while they were inspecting the site of a previous enemy hit.
