Ukraine’s air defenses down 133 out of 156 Russian drones launched since evening

Ukraine’s air defense forces neutralized 133 drones launched by Russian troops against Ukraine since the previous evening. Enemy hits were recorded at 13 locations.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

As noted by the military, from 18:00 on Thursday, March 19, the enemy launched 156 drones of various types at Ukraine, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas UAVs.

The launches were carried out from the directions of the Russian cities of Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Shatalovo, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from the temporarily occupied areas of Hvardiiske and Chauda (Autonomous Republic of Crimea).

The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

Around 90 of the enemy targets were Shahed-type drones.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 on Friday, air defenses shot down or suppressed 133 enemy drones. At 13 locations, hits from 19 strike UAVs were recorded, while at seven others debris from downed drones fell.

The Air Force emphasized that several enemy drones are still being tracked in Ukrainian airspace. Citizens are urged to follow safety rules.

As reported by Ukrinform, since the evening of March 19, Russian forces attacked Poltava region with drones, damaging power lines and equipment at an enterprise.
