Enemy carries out 60 strikes on Sumy region in 24 hours, leaving one dead and several wounded
Russian troops carried out 60 strikes on 30 settlements in the Sumy region over the course of a day, killing one person and injuring another.
According to Ukrinform, the Sumy region police reported this on Facebook.
Settlements in the Sumy, Shostka, Okhtyrka, and Konotop districts came under fire.
The Russians used guided aerial bombs, strike drones, FPV drones, MLRS, artillery, mortars, and other types of weapons.
A 48-year-old man was killed in the Esman community.
A 37-year-old man was wounded in the Sumy city community. One car was destroyed and two others were damaged.
In the Shostka community, five private residential buildings and two garages in a garage cooperative were damaged.
Two warehouses were damaged in the Bilopilia community.
A private residential building was damaged in the Shalyhyne community.
Police investigative teams and bomb disposal experts worked at the sites of the strikes.
In turn, the head of the Sumy City Military Administration, Serhii Kryvosheenko, reported on Telegram that Russian troops struck Sumy during the night and in the morning of March 4.
According to him, strikes were recorded in the Kovpakivskyi district. Window blocks of a residential high-rise building and a car shop were damaged: the facade, metal profile cladding, and window spans.
According to preliminary data, there were no casualties.
In the morning, the Russians also struck a non-residential building in another neighborhood. A fire broke out in the non-residential building. The consequences are being eliminated.
As reported by Ukrinform, on March 2, four people, including a child, were injured in the Sumy region as a result of Russian strikes.
