Ukrainian forces destroy Russian bridge-laying vehicle on Vovchansk front
The Defense Forces of Ukraine have destroyed a Russian bridge-laying vehicle in the Vovchansk area, after it was deployed in an attempt to cross the Vovcha River and transport military equipment.
This was reported by the Joint Forces Group on Telegram, according to Ukrinform, along with published video footage.
According to the statement, Russian engineering units attempted to use a VMM-3M to establish a crossing over the river.
“The enemy’s goal was to enable the passage of armored and motor vehicles to expand their offensive operations. However, thanks to mine-explosive barriers and precise strikes by our UAVs, the enemy equipment was completely destroyed. The Defense Forces maintain strong control over the area,” the military said.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, fighters of the Volkodavy battalion of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a truck converted by Russian forces into a pontoon platform intended for river crossing operations.
