Russian shelling of Kherson leaves four dead, two injured
Four people were killed and two others injured in Russian strikes on the Korabelnyi district of Kherson.
Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"At around 13:20, Russian terrorists shelled the Korabelnyi district of Kherson. According to preliminary information, three people were killed in the enemy strikes. Two more residents of Kherson were injured and are currently in hospital," Prokudin said.
Later, Prokudin reported that an 85-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man, who had been seriously wounded in the Russian strike on the Korabelnyi district, died in hospital.
The regional governor clarified that two elderly women were killed instantly in the shelling, not three as had been reported earlier.
The 85-year-old woman and the 63-year-old man, who sustained blast injuries and multiple shrapnel wounds to the head and torso, had been hospitalized.
