Kharkiv under Russia’s combined aerial attack, casualties, damage reported

Russian forces have attacked Kharkiv with missiles and drones, impacts have been recorded in the Slobidskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Saltivskyi districts. There are casualties, fires have broken out across the city.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“Kharkiv is under a combined aerial attack – drones and missiles are heading toward the city. The first two explosions were heard in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kyivskyi districts. We are clarifying the details,” the Mayor said.

“In the Shevchenkivskyi district, an enemy attack damaged the wall of a multi-storey apartment building and parked cars. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties,” said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are working at the scene.

“An enemy strike destroyed a private residential house in the Saltivskyi district. There is a fire and rubble at the site,” Terekhov later added.

Syniehubov also released information on those injured in the shelling via Telegram.

“Fourteen people were injured in Kharkiv and in the village of Rai-Olenivka during a massive enemy attack. Among the injured is a 7-year-old boy,” the statement said.

All those injured are receiving highly qualified medical care, the regional administration added.

According to earlier reports, air raid alert was declared across Ukraine due to Russia’s combined drone and missile attack.
