General Staff confirms strike on Ilsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai

Ukraine’s Defense Forces have struck the Ilsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was announced on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“As part of consistent efforts to reduce the offensive and military-economic potential of the Russian aggressor, Defense Forces units continue to strike key enemy logistics facilities deep inside its territory and in temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine,” the statement said.

In particular, on the night of February 17, the Ilsky oil refinery near the settlement of Ilsky in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai was hit. The target was successfully struck, followed by a fire on the facility’s premises.

The results of the strike are being clarified, the General Staff said.

The General Staff noted that the Ilsky oil refinery is one of the largest oil-industry enterprises in southern Russia and plays a significant role in petroleum production. Its total primary processing capacity amounts to 6.6 million tons of oil per year, and the facility is involved in supplying the invading forces.

Clusters of enemy personnel were also struck in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, in the areas of Rozivka and Liubymivka.

Enemy losses and the scale of the damage are being clarified.
