Pletenchuk explains how Russia protects Crimean Bridge
Russian forces continue to use all available means to guard the Crimean Bridge, periodically introducing traffic restrictions and conducting vehicle inspections.
The spokesperson for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, stated this during a TV broadcast, Ukrinform's correspondent reports.
"They use all available resources they have for its protection and defense, starting with the maritime guard of the FSB and ending with the National Guard of Russia," Pletenchuk said.
According to him, Russian forces regularly impose temporary restrictions in case of threats and tighten vehicle control.
"They periodically block the bridge… thoroughly inspect vehicles entering it, and various restrictions are introduced from time to time," the spokesperson noted.
He added that there are currently no grounds to say that Russia has changed its approach to protecting the facility.
As reported, on February 15, explosions were heard at night in the area of Kerch and on the opposite shore of the Kerch Strait, and traffic on the Crimean Bridge was temporarily suspended.
