Trehubov: 22 enemy radios still 'active' in one block in Kupiansk

Kupiansk remains under Ukrainian control, with Russian units confined to only a few high-rise buildings and unable to conduct active operations.

Spokesperson Viktor Trehubov stated this during a TV broadcast, Ukrinform reports.

"Yesterday, 22 enemy call signs were detected – that's 22 radios… All are concentrated in one specific area, a block of tall buildings. They cannot carry out active operations but are trying to survive on supplies delivered by air," Trehubov said.

He added that on the outskirts of Kupiansk, particularly to the east and in the Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi area, the enemy continues attempts to attack Ukrainian positions, but without success.

"We can confidently say that we have control over the city and that Russian attempts to resist the Ukrainians have failed," he noted.

According to Trehubov, the remaining occupiers, armed lightly and using drones, maintain a circular defense inside buildings and rely on food and ammunition supplies.

"They are effectively unable to do anything except hold their defense in a specific location and survive," he explained.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, on February 15, there was one engagement on the Kupiansk front in the area of Pishchane.
