Ukrainian air defenses neutralize 76 out of 90 Russian drones overnight

Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 76 UAVs used by Russia to attack Ukraine since the evening of January 31.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

According to the report, on the night of January 31 to February 1 (from 18:00 on January 31), the enemy launched 90 attack UAVs – Shahed-type drones, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types – from Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), as well as from the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region. About 60 of them were Shahed drones.

The aerial attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 76 enemy UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types, in the north and east of the country.

Impacts by 14 attack UAVs were recorded at nine locations, and debris from downed drones fell at two locations.

The attack is ongoing, with several hostile UAVs still in Ukrainian airspace.
