Two women injured in Sumy after Russian strike on kindergarten
Two women were injured in Sumy after two Russian drones struck a kindergarten building.
According to Ukrinform, the Sumy Regional Police reported this on Facebook.
“This morning, Russian troops attacked the regional center with drones. As a result of the strikes by two UAVs, a kindergarten building was damaged, and a fire broke out at the site. Currently, two women are known to have been injured, but efforts to address the aftermath of the attack are ongoing, and information is being clarified,” the statement reads.
It is noted that police officers evacuated the injured and handed them over to medical personnel, and helped other citizens leave the dangerous area.
Police investigative and operational teams, bomb disposal experts, rescue workers, and other relevant services are working at the scene.
