Air Defense Forces destroy 87 of 102 enemy drones attacking Ukraine

Air Defense Forces destroyed 87 drones used by the Russian army to attack Ukraine on Saturday evening, with enemy strikes recorded at ten locations. Information about two missiles is also being clarified.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

According to military data, starting at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, the Russians used two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and S-300 long-range surface-to-air missiles to strike Ukraine. The launches were carried out from the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation.

The invaders also launched 102 drones of various types from their cities of Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, and Shatalovo, as well as from the territory of temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 70 enemy targets were Shahed-type combat drones.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems units, as well as by mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:30 on Sunday, Air Defense Forces shot down/jammed 87 enemy drones, including Shahed and Gerbera drones, in the north, south, center, and east of the country.

Fifteen UCAVs were reported hitting ten locations, with another area affected by the fall of downed targets (debris). Information regarding two enemy missiles is still being verified.

The Air Force emphasizes that the attack is ongoing. Several more Russian drones have been spotted in the skies over Ukraine. Citizens are urged to follow safety rules.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of January 25, Russian troops attacked the Chervonohryhorivka community in the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones, destroying an infrastructure facility there.
